Introducing my latest label crush. Outerwear brand ‘The Design Studio’ from Hawarden, Wales. Interestingly, the faux- fur brand is curated by a mother-daughter partnership, and has taken Instagram by storm. What I love about this brand, is that it has identity. The made-to-order pieces are dropped once a week, on Sundays at 8pm to be exact. This teasing of product creates an excitement of exclusivity, a rarity in the fast moving fashion world. The brand is really tapping into the shoppable-instagram concept, and converts followers into customers via cool editorial content, styled to perfection. Their campaigns are shot like an underground indie fashion mag too, giving the brand a cool-girl edge. There is nothing catalogue about it, and I think this is a brand that is destined for big things. The brand has given us coats and bombers, but I feel like it won’t stop there. This is a brand that understands the impossible fickleness of social media, and the power of a perfect colour palette. Watch this space…
